Family Tree

Your roots,
beautifully mapped

Build a living record of your family.

Getting started
1
Your node is already there

When you sign up, your own node is created automatically at the centre of your tree. Your name, gender and date of birth are filled in from your profile. Everyone starts here.

2
✉ Invite
Invite living relatives (16 and older)

Use Invite for relatives who are alive, 16 or older, and will have their own account. Enter their name, gender, relationship to you, and optionally their email. They receive a personal link to join and claim their node. Once they accept, the relationship is confirmed.

3
+ Add
Add relatives without accounts

Use Add New for deceased relatives or children under 16 — people who won't have an active account right now. Children under 16 can claim their node when they come of age. Fill in what you know (name, gender, dates) and optionally upload a photo.

4
✓ Verify
Added nodes need family verification

When you add a node (deceased or minor), your blood relatives are notified and asked to verify. Once 3 relatives confirm, the node becomes officially part of the tree. If 3 relatives dispute it, the node is removed. This keeps the tree trustworthy.

5
Adding a child always needs two parents

When you add or invite a child, you'll be asked to specify the other parent — either an existing person in your tree or someone new. If you don't know the other parent yet, an "Unknown Parent" placeholder is created automatically and can be replaced later. The other parent also receives a confirmation notification.

6
Siblings are linked automatically

When two people share the same two biological parents, they are automatically linked as full siblings. Sharing one biological parent creates a half-sibling link. Adoptive and foster siblings are not auto-linked — you add them manually.

7
Partner relationships can grow over time

Start with boyfriend / girlfriend, then propose an upgrade to fiancé, then to spouse — each step requires the other person to accept. Either person can also initiate ending the relationship, which requires mutual confirmation before taking effect.

8
🔗 Share
Share your tree with the world

Click Share in the toolbar to generate a beautiful image of your tree with a unique public link. Paste it on WhatsApp, Twitter or anywhere — anyone who taps it sees your tree on plirosi.com, with a link to build their own.

Polygamous families: if you have more than one partner, a house selector appears next to your node. Switch between houses to see each partner and their children — keeping the tree clean and uncluttered.

Connect

Meet someone,
no chat required

Post what you want to do and where you are. We find someone nearby who wants the same thing and suggest a meeting point between you.

🎯
One intent at a time

An intent is a live signal that says "I want to meet someone for X right now." You can only have one active intent at a time. It expires after 4 hours. No browsing, no swiping — just post and wait.

📍
Location-based matching

Your device shares your current location when you post an intent. Matches are found within the radius you set. The suggested meeting point is automatically calculated as the midpoint between you and your match.

How a meetup happens
1
Post Intent
Tell us what you want to do

Go to Meet Someone on your profile and choose an activity — coffee, a walk, food, sport, study, and more. Set how far you're willing to travel and any preferences (age range, gender). Your location is captured automatically.

2
We find your match

The engine scans for other active intents that match your activity, location and preferences. When a mutual match is found, both of you receive a notification with the other person's first name, age, gender and the suggested meeting point.

3
Both confirm — then go

You each have 1 hour to confirm the match. Once both of you confirm, the meeting is on. Head to the suggested location. If either person declines, both intents return to the matching pool and you may get a new match.

4
After the meetup — leave a review

After meeting, mark the meetup as completed and leave a brief review. Reviews are about accuracy — did their photo match? Were they who they said they were? This keeps the community honest and safe for everyone.

Core principles
🚫
No messaging

There is no chat. The app gets out of the way once matched. The meeting point is the conversation starter.

Time-limited

Intents expire in 4 hours. Matches expire in 1 hour. Spontaneity is the point — not endless pending requests.

🔒
Photo-verified

Profile photos are checked for authenticity. AI-generated and heavily filtered images are flagged before they reach others.
